BRANDING | AUGUST 2020

TINKER'S BARBECUE

Tinker’s Barbecue is a casual restaurant that well-known for its Filipino-grilled food, and family-recipe desserts among the masses in Philippines. Customers can enjoy their food that is topped with their special sauce to tickle your tastebuds.

WHAT I DID

Brand Identity
Brand Strategy
Content Creation
Packaging Label Design

01 THE PROBLEM

Tinker’s barbecue, a startup business needs to position themselves in the market through the idea of real connection between couples, friends, or family with the love for Filipino comfort food. A highly saturated market in the city, these restaurants offer the similar service, but we all know it’s all about the food.

Luckily, the brand may be new to market, I have to elevate its brand that communicates in the modern market. I wanted to give the brand the platform that speaks value and stands out among its competitors.

02 THE SOLUTION

I wanted to focus on the idea of the brand identity’s marrying the fiestas, family, and vibrant colors to catch the attention of potential customers. These customers are the masses of the Philippines bringing them affordable and mouth-watering Filipino grilled food. This is the ticket to happiness and celebration!

03 BRANDING + CONTENT STRATEGY

I wanted to communicate its brand’s personality as lively and festivity. In terms of the overall feel, the direction I came up with was to have a ‘chaotic organized’ just like how a fiesta operates, and using motifs along with fun color palette making vibrant yellow as the dominant mood.

04 ICONOGRAPHY

Just like the logo, the iconography follows consistency and minimal style through the usage of lines and curves. This can be easily used throughout with creation of collaterals

05 PACKAGING LABEL DESIGN

The direction for the packaging label design was to be economical and feasible to use hence using stick labels was the solution. I used the brand colors, and quirky typefaces with ‘hand-drawn-like’ illustrations to communicate a playful tone.
